How to reach the Sariska Tiger Reserve?

Sariska National Park is located in the Indian state of Rajasthan in the Alwar region. Unfortunately, this park is not easily accessible by plane or train and you need to move by car. The nearest station to the park is Alwar Junction. It is around 3-4 hours from Delhi and 2  hours from Jaipur.

If you reach Sariska National Park, by train at Alwar junction then you can catch a cab from the station and it will just take an hour to reach the park.

  • Distance from Ajmer is 240 km
  • Distance from Delhi is 200 km

Timings of Sariska Tiger Safari

There are three timings of Sariska Tiger Safari in a day from May to October. These safaris run once in the morning at around 6 am and then at around 3:30 pm in the evening. These safaris run for around 3 hours at a time. So, if you want to see a tiger, you should have enough time in a day for a safari.

Also, the safari timings might vary based on the weather at different times of the year. Only the approved vehicles have entrances in the Sariska  National Park. Inside the park, all the vehicles need to follow a particular route and should leave the park in the evening at 6:30 pm.

How to book a Sariska Tiger Reserve Safari?

In order to book tickets for a Sariska Tiger Reserve Safari, it’s also a task to do in advance. Also, there is an option to book the tickets online but that won’t be safest.

Reach out to the ticket counter at the park and book your tickets.

You need to give three types of fees that are a park permit fee, a jeep fee, and a photography fee.

The Best Time to Visit Sariska National  Park

The ultimate time to visit Sariska National Park is anytime between October and May. The best time to sight a tiger is between March to May. This national park is ideal for Tiger sightings because the forest is not very big in size.

Nearby attractions around the Sariska National Park

You can visit Bhangarh fort near the Sariska national park. It is just  30 km from the Sariska Tiger reserve. Alwar city is also known for certain lakes and forts. There is also Chand Baori step well which is another major attraction near the park located around 50 km from Sariska National park.
